It doesn’t take much to make me happy

Perched on a hill top in La Morra is a tree. Not just any tree…

But a fantastic, grandiose Cedar of Lebanon Tree that was planted in 1856 by a recently married couple to signify the strong bond between them both as well as their love for the land. Over 150 years later the tree continues to stand tall and proud, dominating the panorama and bringing great joy to all those who visit it.

This is what travel off the beaten path is all about.

And as the sign near the tree says, “it doesn’t take much to make it (the tree) happy

 Next time you are Piedmont, take a drive to La Morra, where happiness is a tree perched on a hill top. You will surely enjoy the view from underneath one of the gigantic, nurturing branches.
